THE CROSS.

The CROSS
Slewed he was, upon it.
Silently led like a lamb,
Straight to the slaughter,
Smitten, stricken man of sorrows.

Died, he did upon it.
Up to date with anguish,
A suffering servant socially reviled,
Unloved, man of many sorrows.

Nailed he was, upon it.
Through the palms, nails,
Hammered through,
True, a suffering man of sorrows.

For my sake, he was upon it.
Took my transgression,
My retribution, my castigation,
Truly, suffered he did, for my salvation.

For my sake, he was put on it,
Yet he rose, for a cause,
Never did he pause,
To contemplate if I deserve the prize.

Salvation came because of love.
Love from above through the cross,
I suppose none can oppose,
Because to resist is disbelief which is a loss.

DISCOURSE ON PRAYER

Prayer – a spiritual cell phone that connects us to God, Jesus being the sim card. The Holy Spirit is the charger. Prayer is the way we make calls and free air time is unlimited.

Prayer is the blessed link between our importance and the potency of God. It is a language of the spirit and the breath of the presents of God upon our lives. Prayer it the admittance to God that we do not have what it takes. It is the acknowledgment that your ability is to small to avail your desire. A prayer is a do or dies thing we have to do if our names are to be engraved on golden tablets upon the sands of time. It is a heartfelt, deep seated appeal to God for Divine intervention. It also is the Divine signature with which we draw from God’s abidanc3e and rich reserves. Also it is to the believer what capital is to a businessman. It also makes us lethal and too hot for the devil to handle.
Prayer is a multiplier as we read in Ezekiel 36v37. It provokes the release of God’s ability and the forces that are in heaven as we learn in Matthew 26v53. Making prayer less is a sin as we learn from 1 Samuel 12v23.
God has heard your cry; it is time for him to see your faith. Faith is the mystery that replicates heaven in our earthly realm. Never expect the best in what you have not put in the best.
We must ask God to teach us to Pray and to always keep ourselves in prayer. Ephesians 6v18
God bless you.

WORD FROM PROPHETESS COLETTE WILIAMS

Ecclesiastes 12v1.
Remember Jesus and his work while you are still young. He wants you while you are still young because that is when you can choose between him and the world. There is a lot of sacrifice if you are a youth that has given him or herself to do the work of God. You sacrifice your time to his work, your pleasures for his work. When you are older in life there is less tests and less sacrifice to give. So live for him while you are still young and he will reward you according to his riches and glory.

Use your strength, ideas, dreams, talents, gifts to build the house of God. Remember god has called us to win souls for his kingdom, are you sharing him with others?
Acts 1v8. You have the power to make things happen because the Holy Spirit has come upon you.Philippians 1v6

Welcome to Free Generation Youth Ministry

F.G Youth is a vibrant Harare based non profit making Religious Knowledge Organization under Eternal Freedom Ministries International (Zimbabwe) an apostolic church ministry under the divine guidance of pastors Apostle Derrick Williams & Prophetess Collette Williams. F.G Youths target the teenage to young adult generation as our audience in Evangelical Crusades from neighborhood to neighborhood, street to street, till we reach souls beyond our boundaries through projects like Poetry Slams, Collage Scripture Union Rallies & Community Prayer Conventions.

We have a disciplined & principled leadership, by the Grace of God, appointed by the church council of elders and pastors; a steering committee comprising of Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary (appointed by the church council) & two committee members (elected by the F.G.Y.M membership). The Steering Committee is accountable to both Church Council and the F.G Youth membership for all issues regarding regulations and finances according to the measures of both the EFMI Church Constitution subsequent subject the FGYM Code of Ethics.

The Principles of our Faith in Jesus Christ

  1. Love: We believe everyone has the right to be loved, to express affection towards fellow brethren and to receive God’s unconditional love regardless of identity.
  2. Life: We believe everyone has the promise of eternal life & immortality and the right to salvation of the soul. We believe, through his resurrection from the dead the Lord Jesus conquered death two millenniums ago. We believe the most powerfully force in the universe is the life-giving Holy Spirit of God and it lives in the heart of man.
  3. Learning: We believe everyone has the mental capacity to learn any & everything in existence about God, man & the universe and that the greatest of all knowledge is the Knowledge of Christ. We believe only through the Gospel the mind of man can know God and only through the knowledge of Christ the soul can be saved.
  4. Liberty: We believe true liberty is in Christ Jesus and the Knowledge of him, in knowing him by the power of his resurrection. We believe our full span of life in Christ is through liberation from sin.

Our mission is to spread the Good News of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets, poets and the law in the Holy Scriptures concerning his Son Jesus Christ who was a descended of King David according to the flesh and declared Son of God in Power through his resurrection from the dead by the Spirit of Holiness. Our task is to shed abroad the light of Salvation, and the hope of resurrection through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are the light of the world. “We are the Sun of Men” is our motto.

Our vision is realizing “An Enlightened Future for all Humankind”, through communities creating a Christian culture & culture creating Christian communities. We hold the dream of a peaceful & prosperous future, the hope of eternal life & immortality; we have the vision of a golden age where all men equal before the eyes of the Lord, possessing all knowledge, wisdom & understanding shall live forever on the earth enjoying optimum health and wealth. We the youth are that future, and Christ in us is the Hope of Glory.

FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT : NINE GREAT VIRTUES OF CHRIST

But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. " Galatians 5: 22-23

If a person is filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit then all the virtues in Galatians 5 :22-23 will be clearly manifested in that person's life. The nine virtues in this passage are actually the nine great virtues of Christ. As we are controlled by the Holy Spirit , God imparts these virtues to us

. LOVE

The Holy Spirit imparts to us the virtue of LOVE. I Corinthians 13 describes true Christlike love. Love radiates from a spirit filled person. A church which is truly spirit filled overflows with love. A distinguishing mark of a true disciple of Christ is love. As it is written in John 13:35 :"All men will know that you are m disciples, if you love one another." The New Testament church is truly a spirit-filled church which overflows with love as it is shown in Acts 4:32-34. Love flows out spontaneously from a spirit-filled person, both love for God and love for men. It is Christ's love for both God and men the one that led him to calvary, love for God's glory and perfect will and love for man's eternal soul. God's love is the ultimate reason for the incarnation and crucifixion of the Son of God.

JOY

A spirit-filled person has joy on his heart. Joy and pleasure are two different things. A person maybe suffering from a chain of misfortune but still have joy in his heart. Like the Apostle Paul, though suffered greatly , endured so much tribulation for the sake of the Gospel, never lost his joy as a christian. In contrary ,a person maybe full of earthly pleasures, but still does not have real joy in his heart. Like the rich people who are living apart from the ways of God, they may have lots of pleasures in this world because of their material possessions, but you will still hear some of them who despite of affluence are not still happy. It is because the joy of the Lord is not present in their lives.

PEACE

Another wonderful virtue imparted to us b the Holy Spirit is PEACE, which is actually the peace of Jesus Christ as it is written in John 14:27 ; " Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives." Despite the uncertainties of the future, despite the various problems attacking our economy, despite the present upheavals in our society, a spirit-filled Christian could still remain relaxed, calm, serene. Because the peace of Jesus Christ is in his heart. One perfect example in the life of Christ demonstrating his peace was during the coming of a battalion of soldiers to arrest him in the garden of Gethsemane. A large group of soldiers armed with swords and clubs came to arrest him that night of his betrayal. Jesus yielded himself freely to them. That is the perfect peace of Jesus Christ.

LONG SUFFERING

Long suffering is synonymous to patient and enduring. Long suffering is one of the virtues possessed by God so by Christ also. God was long suffering to Israel , as Jesus Christ was long suffering to his disciples. The disciples during their early life with Jesus were still carnal. Jesus has been very long suffering in dealing with them. As Christians, long suffering must be one of our virtues. We must be long suffering with the weaknesses of out brothers and sisters in the faith. We must be long suffering with the people we are leading to Christ.

KINDNESS

Kindness is synonymous to compassion, generosity, goodness of heart, goodness in deeds or actions. The virtue is very much present in the person of the Father and so with the person of Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ has shown great kindness to a lot of people surrounding him during his sojourn here on earth. He has shown kindness by healing their infirmities, their disabilities and physical defects, by feeding them and by teaching them the ways of God. As we become controlled by the Holy Spirit, true kindness radiates from us . We become more considerate to people,we become compassionate to the needy, to the lost. That is why many are driven to missions because this fruit of the Holy Spirit is greatly imparted to them.

GOODNESS

According to Jesus, only one possess this virtue, and that is God as he counsel the rich young ruler. How does goodness differ from kindness? The word is synonymous to suitable or worthy. The term is also used for the servant who invested well his resources. He is called good and faithful servant. It also indicates that something is functioning well. If we said that this watch is no good anymore, it won't keep track of the right time any longer. Jesus said that a good tree produces goof fruit, that is the tree functions properly. Something is good when it works. Jesus constantly produced and He never failed. His teachings made a lasting and profound impressions. Goodness is one of the virtues impart to us by the Holy Spirit. We could only function well as Christian if we allow the Holy Spirit to control us. We can become the good trees that produce good fruits as the Holy Spirit controls us.

FAITHFULNESS

God was faithful in fulfilling his promise to Abraham. He is ever faithful to Israel. Jesus was faithful in his love for his disciples. Jesus is faithful to his promises. Jesus showed his faithfulness to the scripture and to the will of the Father until his death on the cross. He is faithful as High Priest. Jesus calls Himself the Faithful Witness. He is the standard of faithfulness by which we measure ourselves. God is ever faithful to us at all times though sometimes we fail. As we are filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit, the virtue is reflected upon us. We also become faithful to him. We become faithful to our commitment to others. Faithfulness in not inherent in man, it is only a God-given virtue.

GENTLENESS

Gentleness is synonymous to meekness. Jesus claimed meekness for himself and significantly coupled it with being "lowly in heart." His meekness is worthy of our imitation. Meekness of a Christian is displayed by accepting God's dealings with us as good without any resistance. This is a display of lowliness before God and humility before men.

SELF-CONTROL

Self-control is a discipline, but it cannot be imposed from an outside source. Self-control cannot be achieved by training rather self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. The spiritual Christian has this quality, not as a result of will power or effort but as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit in his lives. Jesus exercised much self-control during his earthly life. A spirit-controlled Christian has self-control in all aspects of his/her life. He has self-control in his thoughts, words, deeds, emotions. he knows well how to handle his emotions and thoughts. He is an emotionally mature person

ETERNAL FREEDOM

This poem is dedicated to the Lord all migthty for the sole purpose according him all Glory and Honor

Until the end of time, we are free,
Free to be what God has meant us to be,
Blessed, believers gazing on the cross,
Redeemed, released from all carnal ties,
Death’s darkest fleshy desire dies,
Freely, supernaturally up our spirit springs,
Euphoria endless, eternal joy in Godly things.

See, there is a place, a holy place,
In one accord, a place of holy grace,
Of peace and joy where the blessed abode,
Forever more there we worship the living GOD,
Formerly sinful slaves, set apart, from self we rest.

Forever blessed from above in wisdom and love, best,
Is this forever day of rest, forever day of gladness,
Set free from all care, free from all sadness,
Boldly we approach the eternal throne,
Singing HOLY HOLY HOLY!! Is the great three in one,
Praise the Lord! For once bound and shackled by Satan,
Now we are delivered and eternally, entirely free.
HALLELUJAH!!!

GOD SPEAKS TO THE HEART

God created man from the dust of the earth then He blew the ‘breath of life’ into his nostrils and man became a living soul. The dust of the earth has no energy to sustain the soul; it is the Spirit of God, His own breath that gives a life to your soul. The soil only gave man form; the Spirit of God gave him soul. We are alive because God lives in us. We carry the Spirit of God in our cells, in our blood and in our breath. God put eternity in the heart of man, because He found in it for Himself a living place. All the matters of life flow from the heart. In this way we can know God by heart, for the Spirit speaks to the heart. The world speaks to the flesh; we can only know it primarily an experience, a sense or felling, so we experience life, like blind bats, without a vision of where we go, we need God to guide us to understand the invisible qualities of His creation. Christ is the way we walk, the light to guide our path; He’s the truth about the God, the universe and all creation.

God created man in His image. Christ is the perfect image of the Invisible God. We are created like Christ, the perfect images of the Invisible God. Christ came down from his Godly Throne of Heaven, was born to men and took on sinful flesh, and Christ never failed, he never sinned. We are gods, when we are born on earth we inherit sin, but because of Christ we might not sin or fall! When you took on humanity you did not loose your divinity, you mirrored the creator, making the mysterious works of God visible. Through Christ we can be perfect; He is the image of God, the voice of the Creator.

When our minds trouble us, we find ourselves restless, anxious to find out ‘why?’. We ask ourselves questions whose answers we can not give; we stress our minds and end up sickening our selves. We ask ourselves ‘why’, always, ‘why won’t this sickness end?’, ‘why won’t a problem be solved?’, ‘why won’t God answer my prayers?’. We might believe we are cursed, and behave as if we seek always to either to rectify or justify the wrongs we have done but to no avail! We spend sleepless hours of long painful nights praying and weeping, seeking His Glorious Face.

If you’ve ever lost a loved one to a tragedy, you know the grief you feel inside, like an aching hummer breaking your heart open. Perhaps you’re stuck with these headaches right now, perhaps your body is in pain as I speak and your bones are heavy as if there is a burden on your small shoulders and you came here in search of an answer, you’ve searched before and you are not sure if today will finally bring that question to rest. As you are listening your heart is hopeful but your mind might be skeptical, your soul is still deeply troubled that there seems to be no evidence of assurance that you’ve finally made it. Follow the speaking of your heart, listen to that voice inside. It might be silent and still in the turbulence of worry and fear, but if you take heed how you listen, you will hear the word! The Apostle Derrick Williams says ‘Listen to your conscience’. Though it is not a new voice that speaks in you, it’s the true voice that speaks to you! Listen! He’s saying: Breakthrough! Shout it aloud: ‘Breakthrough!’ Declare it to the world, make it bold! You have made it! God speaks to the heart. He’s speaks to your heart now!

He has never left you, from the day He formed you, He is alive in you. You might have once heard him speak but perhaps you have forgotten His voice and lost faith in his word. He is hope, give Him ear, the wisdom of God who hears and answers the prayers of saints. He speaks to you as he spoke to Abraham as He told him ‘Go!’, He still speaks to you as He spoke to Joshua saying ‘I’ve delivered all your enemies into your hands, I’ve fought all your battles and won all your wars!’. He’s still speaking, His loving voice still whispers to your heart. The rhythm of His Voice is on your chest; His pulse is on your wrist. As long as He lives, you might bend but you’ll never break, you might stumble but you’ll never fall. He sustains your soul, His energy flows in your veins. He will make His temple whole. He will not watch as His home is wrecked by sickness, He will not rest as His dwelling is profaned by pests. He will never let you down. He will never let you lie in ruin.
